Accreditation bodies (ABs) conduct assessment and accredit Certification bodies (CBs) for the following accreditation schemes
Certification body is an organization that auditing / evaluate and certifies / Verify & validation / Inspection / testing / Calibration / products for the organization as per applied standards / guideline requirements. Certification Body give confidence to the public sectors that the audited / evaluated organization has compliance the standards / guidelines.

IAAB Roles
IAAB ensure that AB's
- Provide the credibility and reliability of conformity accreditation scheme.
- Promote trust in the global marketplace

- IAAB provides guidelines for Accreditation bodies for Management system, IT, professionals, healthcare, engineers and many other fields.
- IAAB ensures that the accredited body meets the requirements of the scheme, through GLA signatory agreement.
IAAB GLA Recognition
Accreditation bodies can be recognized by IAAB GLA Recognition program through apply for GLA assessment, upon successful assessment and can become IAAB GLA signatory.
Accreditation bodies have to comply with national or internation standards and with mandatory following IAAB guideline & Standards in order to become IAAB GLA Signatory:
- IAAB 17011-1: IAAB Requirements for AB's accrediting CBs in Management System Standards.
- IAAB 17011-2: Requirements for accreditation bodies for GLA Assessment for Personal
- IAAB 17011-3: Requirements for accreditation bodies for GLA Assessment for Inspection

Use of IAAB GLA Logo
IAAB GLA logo can be used by accreditation body which is GLA signatory for the approved above guidance / standards. AB’s can also use IAAB GLA Logo in their Visiting Cards, online profile and AB’s can authorised to use of IAAB GLA Logo to accredited personal and Certification body with signed agreement for details read

IAAB maintains its database for Accreditation body for Recognition & global Acceptance. Certification bodies & stakeholder can review the approval status of the Accreditation body. Accreditation body can use link in public profile, training material & their website.
Database of Certification Body
IAAB provide database for certification body, in above webpage for Recognition & Acceptance the issued certificate to organization globally. Organization can review the authenticate the certification body. Certification body can use link in public profile, promotional material & website.
